A little bit, but you seemed in complete control, I must admit when we went round that corner I was surprised how well it stuck to the tarmac, the old mans 575 could never do that

I'm sorry for nit picking, dave ... but i don't see a question within the above opening statement.

That was the question.. So far I have had - I think, I guess, I bet, not real results data though, just guesses, even one suggesting the Lambo driver was not up to it as it was slower than the 575M 181-182mph. In someone's view a Lambo is faster, etc. etc. Thats not what the evidence shows and that one was chipped. In fairness it did 185mph in a pro-drivers hands, he knew the track apparently and knew where and how to start the run, but as I say, it was chipped and we were all novices at the strip. That is not enough for me to say it is faster especially as it was chipped, over 600 bhp. The bloke didn't drive mine. Of course the chip could have made the Lambo slower

being a fan of the late donald campbell, I have lots of records of a straight line speed results, better than the above ... and remember, the route to my front door contains seventy miles of very salty, cold wet stuff

That day I had gusty crosswinds and didn't want to push it any more than that. I have hit 190s other times but no pictures. I was radared at 112 and it was dead on (unfortunately). Lambos are very nice but you gotta love the practicality of the 575..

frefan: You can't come on FChat UK and talk about Lambo's not being the, fastest, prettiest, most aerodynamic and best value for money and blah de blah de blah - simply best car ever made, it will land you in bad with plenty of the posters here. Anyone would think this was a Lamborgini.com site.

I agree the 575M is a practical motor car and I love mine to death, I am missing it today as its in the garage having some work done on it after it was not looked after very well at the 6,000 mile service.

I am looking for someone to fioght with and have been all day, I am totally not OK being yet another week without my adrenalin rush.
