Angelis, count me in for the Sanderson m8 as I won't be able to confirm by the end of the week. If I can't do it I'll of course stump up for carpark and any other costs incurred on my behalf. Looking forward to it
Any more South London Fchatters going apart from me? Battersea Bridge is closed in both directions following an accident and will be out for couple of weeks. might cause some probs?
I just drove past there at 7:30. It was clear. Will drive past there again on sunday at 11:30am and check out traffic flow.
Clear as in cars going over it? I heard on the news this morning that a boat had run into it and it would be shut for a few weeks while they affect repairs....sure it was that bridge.
wow!! how did i miss this thread???? any hints on where its starting and what not???? would love to see all the cars!! dont have a car, but wouldnt mind going to london for the day to see some ferraris
angelis, did you check out the car parking today mate and when are you emailing the meeting place etc out dude???
I've spent many hours and much midnight oil has been burnt in supplying him with routes. Versions 1, 2, 3 and 4 have been knocked back so far...................
pick the one with the most tunnels mate...its simple innit? Jeeez you shandy drinking southern poofters dont half f@nny about deciding stuff . If it was up here it would be ten times round Birmingham city flat out taking in all the tunnels via Broad Street then park up at Spearmint Rhino for pics with chicks then off to Bearwood for a chicken tikka kebab and a trip to Cuddles.
Sy that looks brill, love to come, but too far and have hudson + wifey over on the p.ss Saturday night, so we'll do our own poseur run round the streets of Chelts/Glos, not quite the same & dead jealous, looks like it'll be one heck of a sight, just get some good shots.
get in yer cars and get down there....your'e closer than me dude! As regards the good shots, its probably gonna go down in fchat history as Photoshop Sunday come 10pm next week
I'll speak to the man, it would mean his wife driving down to my place in a different car, sounds tempting though
PS: Sy is trying to avoid South of the river BIG TIME, but I wanted to try and at least get us across Tower Bridge, which I think would be a nice back drop for pics / vids. Anyone with me on that one?!?!?!
Awww, course I do, you lovable chirpy cheeky cockneys, eating cockles and whelks, wringing yer caps in yer hands and saying "gawd bless ya guv'na" every time someone picks up one of the hundreds pearly buttons thats just fell off yer coat......who would'nt??
Errrr, pie eating, coal mining Norverners? Ooops! Sorry!! All the coal mines have been closed now, haven't they? God bless job centres for you lot, eh?
OK guys I was up along some of the route this morning and if it's like today we might have a problem. At 11:30am the area behind Albert Hall was full of cars, as was the original meeting point of Old Brompton Road. Talked to a restaurant manager there and he said it was because of the bridge being closed due to the accident. There was also a lot more traffic than I had experienced a few weeks ago, although there was an event at trafalger square. For tubi/cap/decatt cars the route along the Embankment is really good, although there are lots of camera's there and is now referrred to as scamera alley. With regards to the Sanderson, good news is that no reserved parking is required as they are usually empty on sundays as is most of the restaurant. So if people have not booked for the post run drinks/lunch, can still come. Although those who have confirmed will have priority. The car park is tight. I managed to get my 348 down there. However, my car is 1" lower at the front from standard and I had to drive at an angle. I'll be there to make sure no one scrapes their bumpers. Only car I'm worried about is Rene's Testarossa. All details will be emailed out on tuesday. I suggest we keep the meetining point a secret for the time being, otherwise other people will come to watch and take the spaces.
