Yeah. We actually made a run back yesterday. Hk .40 in the door, and a racked Rem 870 on the passenger seat! House fared a little worse than thought. We had wind driven water blown under the two french doors (UGHH, French) and has started to buckle the wood floor, ruined some stereo speakers and seeped under the wall and into the adjacent master closet soaking the carpet and getting mold on lots of things. BUT, the Ferrari is OK!! And we were MUCH more fortunate than many others. I shoulda brought the Ferrari to town so I could be "spotted" in this thread, but I'm going home next week to work and will commute a-la-Southwest. Dave
Glad to hear no permanent damage was done! I pray your recovery from this is quick. Glad to hear the F-car was safe too.
Thanks guys! Also, saw a red Por-wagen GT3 southbound 610 near San Felipe exit yesterday 6:45. I'm not a huge fan of the steroid-injected Beetles, , but the GT3 is one bad mutha! Dave
I saw an F40 parked in a stack of couches (at Gallery Furniture) right over by Jeff Gordon's 98 Talledaga winning car...
Dont take this serious. If Porsches are steroid-injected Beetles, wouldnt Lambos be steroid-injected Beetles also? And actually, Porsches and Beetles are totally different. On another note, light blue 612 Scaggi on Weslayan @ Westheimer...purrrty...only in person...
Ohhh, try to get a photo if you can. I tried to do this when I lived in Houston. There also should a a TR parked next to it with an American flag paint job. ...just beware of the Mattress Mafia!
Spotted the same Ford GT two days in a row parked outside the lofts on W.Gray, near Sheperd. Was funny because it was parked under a tree before the hurricane hehe
for those who think the gallery f40 is a fake, don't know what they are talking about. it is real. trust me, it is real.
I know hes got the money for it..but everyone I know that has seen the one in his shady showroom says it is not legit. Maybe hes smart and keeps the real one at home. Who knows
the one that is in the showroom next to jeff gordan car is a real f40. i don't care what people you know speculate about, anyone one who knows the slightest things about f40's, or ferrari's for that matter, will be able to tell that the gallery f40 is real. i know for a fact tht the car displayed at gallery is a real car. for anyone wnating to challenge my "knowing", please step forward.
I don't know about the one in the showroom. But I used to live in his neighborhood a few years ago. I know he did have a real one at that time. I've also seen him driving a 512TR back in the early 90's.
What street did you live on? I use to live in Northgate too, my house was the one behind Macks 2 houses down from his brother. He has a 3 car garage attached to his home and a 6 car garage across from his house and pool with a Gym above it.....I see his daughters alot when I am in town, I know the older one is at UT and James Jr is at some school outside of Dallas....Lizzie should be a freshmen this year I think, or possibly a senior in high school.....Have'nt been around there in awhile but still see him at Gallery when I go by.
If its a fake, then its a really, really good fake with carbon fiber weave showing under some points in the paint, and somehow they managed to get an F40 powertrain into the back of the car, which was clearly visible through the plexiglass cover over the engine compartment. If I'm on that side of town, I'll drop by with the camera and shoot a pic or two. But, you can get right up on the car, and if it isn't a the genuine article, then they spent considerable money creating a fake.... Mac is known for having several Ferraris. I think most of them he wrote of as a business expense by painting them with the Gallery Furniture logo.
LOL..everyone seems to love standing up for such an annoying guy. Anyway, theres no need to get defensive. I was just relaying what I heard from semi-reputable friends of mine. I'm fully aware that he has money and a real Ferrari collection of his own. Maybe he had a mock one in the showroom at one time, maybe its been the real one the whole time. The enthusiasts here say it is the real deal now - so lets go with that
