Watched the Enzo movie last night. Very good assuming that it was mostly historically accurate.

Jean Pierre Jabouille who finished first, no one even cared. He won a few more races and later was replaced by Alain Prost and went over to Ligier.

    comments:

I didn't see any 250GTO (as claimed in FORZA)
did anyone notice this awful mistake:

Enzo is supposedly watching Villeneuve racing live on TV and there's a
Testarossa model next to the TV set. HOW COME ??? or am I wrong? when did that race took place?

also there's an F40 in his deck all the time ...

Just watched it tonight. Pretty good, indeed; had to suspend disbelief at the somewhat progressively silly premise at the end, but the historical parts were quite excellent I thought. The cinematography seemed really good to me and the physical portrayal of Ferrari was quite well done also.

Also appears to be endorsed/sponsored by Piero Ferrari and di Montezemolo in the credits. Pretty interesting as they seemed to show Ferrari, strengths and failings.

Great film for 365 GT4 2+2 fans. Nice 250 MM sequence.

    Well worth the $15 - it's l-o-n-g.....

I was suprised the movie showed Enzo's faults especially since Piero supported the movie too. But that is what a good bio pic should do. I had no idea about Enzo's personal life before I watched the movie. I thought the movie was excellent overall. I was suprised the actors spoke in English. I figured the movie would be in Italian with English subtitles. Like others said you can get the movie from netflix if you are a member.

    Watched it last night.

Honestly, I think the acting was horrible, the cinematography was predictable, and the script was uninspired. Nice biography, but it could have been so so so much better.

    Just my 2-cents

Very long. I watched it over two evenings.

Actually I thought the portrait of Enzo was rather flattering. The reality was worse. They never fully explain it in the movie, but there is a reason why there are two towns, Modena and Maranello...

The photography is really what amazed me the most. Such artistry!

Watched it Saturday night with a couple other Ferrari people. We all loved it. I didn't know what to expect. I thought the acting was good, surprised it was in English, and the cinematography was great. The actors for Enzo looked very similar, especially the young/middle aged Enzo.

Anyone know the history of this movie? The date is 2002, yet I've never ever heard of this until now. It was in English, so a made for TV movie for UK? There were several flip overs where commercials would have fit in.

Umm, because Andreas watched the movie, not a single thing in here about FML except you posting the movie was for sale at FML.

What issue of FML is the story in?

    Thanks.

Saw this thread, so I rented the movie from Netflix and watched it late last week... much more about Ferrari the man, with some history of the company to go along with the story. Interesting approach to storytelling, with Enzo being questioned by the mysterious interviewer. I liked it a lot and would recommend it to all.

3016, 13 August 2005. Someone started a thread about in GD and it took off from there... This is, i think, the third thread about the movie... No doubt inspired by the original commotion... :D
