Actually I have and liked what I saw.

Ever seen an original early Countach? They looked like kit cars on the inside.

At the time I considered buying a Gallardo, my daily driver was an A6. The switchgear, radio, HVAC controls were all pretty much the same. Not that it was a bad standard by any means, but I've always wanted my "toy" car to have a little something special about it, even in the interior. At any rate, the Gallardo is a great car to drive.

I see your point. But that's just par for the course once a big manufacturer has taken over a small company. There are quite a few Fiat parts in my Ferrari (which I don't mind too much when it comes to replacing them). The ignition key is the same as on a Yugo. How's that for exotic?
    :)

The switchgear, hvac, and many other components for the Gallardo (and Murci to a lesser extent ) do come straight out of the Audi parts bin, which I feel is a good thing because now you know they will work!

Well the Yugo was a rebadged Fiat, so that makes sense.

    Bill

BTW, do you know what they call a 4 door Yugo?

    A We-go... I know it's bad.

And who here has played with the wiring in a Miura?

Let me tell you, it can be fun like a barrel of monkeys! It's extra special, when you are my size also.

    Hi, Mike

My '98 Diablo SV was far more reliable over the 8000 miles I put on it than my '98 Lexus GS400. (I know, a fluke in the system perhaps, but true nonetheless.)

BTW, I think a friend of mine is coming in to test drive an Elise this Saturday.

I'm sure after a while you felt the gentlemen in the original Italian Job did the right thing.

Yellow Gallardo (how about that for timing?)
    DB9
both within a block of Luthern General

Black Spyker (ever seen one... very interesting, but not 250K interesting)..... WHICH, by the way, is an Audi in disguise! Man, what timing!

Did anybody catch Trump's "Apprentice" show last night? Teams had to make a commercial for a Gallardo. The women won, the men lost. And rightly so in my opinion.

LFSC had one a couple of weeks ago. I think they are trying to become a Spyker dealer. I have to say that it was different.
For that kind of money I think I would rather stay Italian...That me though..

    Thanks!

PS: Was told that the Spyker there was a customer car, no interest in being a dealer. That from two service guys at least.

Black 328 today around 5:00PM. It was Westbound on IL.RT.38,(Roosevelt Rd.) and IL.RT.59 in West Chicago. It had the Top off. I thought it was Tod,as he lives out that away. But,the Driver had dark Brown hair.

Here's another view for those who don't really know it. Interesting design with the exposed shift linkage. Too bad I can't find that pic. I didn't really know what to make of it when I saw it- although it is interesting to see that they are coming to the US.

Spotted: Red 360 Spider just now,(6:30PM on Monday) at the Redstone Restaraunt in Oakbrook Terrace on Butterfield Rd. (Mike...?...:) )

There was a whole page write up with several pix about those Spyker Cars in the DuPont Registry several issues back. Interesting Car.

This weekend I was up at the Chicago Alfa Romeo Owners' Club's annual Fall Challenge track weekend at Road America. There are usually a few Ferraris that show up for time trialling or touring, and this year was no exception with a 355 Spider participating in the time trials and a very sharp 308 with some 288 GTO body mods, but the real news was this 250 Lusso. Besides being a beautiful car, it really got a workout on the track, too. Its owner was really thrashing it during touring, and he had a number on the window so he may have done the time trials on Sunday afternoon, too, although I wasn't there for those. Anyway, after touring I got some pictures in the paddock:
