I dusted off the 328 yesterday evening and awoke this morning to see one headlight up and one headlight down -- they were both down when I finished last night. The lights themselves were not on. I know it is not from anything I did to detail the car because I used no water and frankly never even opened the forward bonnet.

One headlight (the passenger side) works normally thus I assume that the switch is fine. I was able to use the knob on the motor of the driver's side to lower the headlight on the driver's side so at least I know that the motor turns freely and the linkage to the headlight bucket is fine. When I activate the headlights now the driver's side neither raises nor lowers although the light itself does work.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for the lights that they can either post or email to me so that I have a place to start sorting these out. My email is "[email protected]" or "[email protected]". Alternatively, if anyone has chased this gremlin before, I would appreciate any diagnostic tips. Thanks, Eric.

As I just posted for Neville,

The two areas I'd check first are the relays for the headlights,
and the diodes on the headlight motors.

    Good Luck!
