Here in NZ we have the highest "Ownership per head" of Ferrari's. In Auckland's more expensive suberbs I see a Ferrari a day. However, Auckland favours German cars... the amount of porsches, audi's and merc's are _absurd_. Literally where I live there are more 911's than m3's.. and there are alot of m3's ;)

Yeah, Wellington's not so bad. The best thing about being a Ferrari owner in NZ (outside Auckland, of course), is that it's not very difficult to find empty open roads, where you can stretch the legs of these fabulous machines.
The only thing worse than driving a Ferrari in bumper-to-bumber traffic is driving a Ferrari with F1 transmission in bumper-to-bumber traffic.

    :)

i definitely know how much you letting your boys drive your toys makes them happy. youre an awesome dad. congrats
me too. also being 17, my dad lets me drive the sl55 and corvette every once in a while (by myself). hes only let me drive the Gallardo once and he was in the car, but with homecoming in a month he might let me take the G... i think ill take the sl55 to homecoming though because im not used to the Lambo at all, ill save that bad boy for prom

geeperz you're a trusting dad....I'm hesitant to even give my parents the keys to any of my cars...after a little front bumper incident....

    If I had kids they'd be driving a rust-bucket.

You are a great guy Callum to share your passion amongst your offspring - most unselfish of you. The cars look great in the pics. Keep us posted on more outings. Does NZ have an official Ferrari Club ?

Yes. The Ferrari club is quite active, although I don't think the web site is very up-to-date. www.ferrari.org.nz

NZ teen thing. At least from my experience, it's more cool to look "staunch" ie. serious in pics.

    Yeah, you're probably right.

Although there might have been a little " Geez dad, can you stop with the camera so we can drive these things?"

    :)

sent you a PM. if you're ever down south, send me an email, and you're more than welcome to stop in to look at the cars. maybe one of my sons will take you for a spin ...

unfortunately, the 360 has gone now. I traded it in on something more *exotic* ...
