    K40 just released a blue tooth wireless detector, has anyone stepped up to the plate and gotten it?

    my installer wants 1500, not much more than the old style one. I am thinking of the ZR3 Escort Laser Blinders for 600 installed (2 front , 1 rear) hooked into my Escort 8500

    Seems like a good idea, this way with the bluetooth sensors, you dont have to wire/ drill any stuff down. (except the actuall sensors im sure)

    I suppose the obvious advantage is little to no cutting and wire routing of the detector units to the display. But, frankly, I've had 'drop out' issues on my blue tooth enabled phone sufficient to drive me back to using a hardwire earpiece. I'd hate to miss the necessary signal, not because the detector failed to get it, but because its transmission of signal to the cockpit negatived.
    To me, it's just another marketing angle. I've had tons of cars wired with K-40 and now, just as many Valentines. I've even gotten to the point where i don't do a fancy installation- just have a hardwire pulled from the cockpit ceiling, clip the V to my sunvisor (it is virtually invisible, and no noticeable wires to get in your way) and i'm off. Cost of installation over and above the V 1 unit- close to zero if you are handy- maybe 20 bucks to the guy at the local shop if you are not.
    And, i still dig them arrows, man.
