You'll have to excuse Mr. McCoy. He went black and never came back.
Ask him what his favorite is...

By the way, you WOMEN are new around here so I'll give you the tip. Carbon has forgoten more about F-cars than most will ever know. He's a virtual encyclopedia, often telling a VIN # from a mere picture. Truly amazing.

This is true! The man can look at color of the model and options and tell you the VIN and who owns it....His mind has a database that even the CIA is jealous of.

I just read the thread on the NSX board, and frankly, I'm embarrassed by it. It reflects badly on this board, and on Ferrari owners in general. Maybe it's an affliction of first time owners of older, used 8 cyl. Ferraris from the early to mid-nineties, but most folks here, including some folks holding some serious iron, wouldn't stoop to denigrate somebody else's chosen ride, particularly something that can and should be taken seriously, as the NSX should. Never owned one, probably never will, but when I owned a 348 (yes, it was my first Ferrari), I didn't think that way. And, having owned alot of Ferraris since then, as well as some other hi-performance stuff, I still don't think that way.
If you really think that the car with the prancing horse is something special and bestows something special on you as an owner, I think that it is even more incumbent upon you to treat other, non-owners with a degree of courtesy, humility and respect, something that was totally lacking in that thread. And, yes, T-Mobile guy, this one's for you.

We spend a lot of time, effort and money on our cars(the order depends on
resources at our disposal) Often we take this stuff entirely too seriously.
I have caught myself on occasion. Whatever edge one car has over another
is often subjective and a matter of personal preference. You make your own
    choice.
I don't have the means to buy a nsx or 360, but I could sell my old low performance toys and get a supercharged ariel atom or street pro camaro
and make any of the afore mentioned 1/4 mile numbers look slow. After a
while it would be boring. How often on a public road can you go 100
    over the legal speed?
Would I want an nsx? yes! Would I want a 348? yes! I would want them for
different reasons. There are some similarities but there are more differences.

If everyone liked the same thing there would be no nsx or ferrari.
Buying either one in order to get one up on another persons is
the wrong reason, but I guess that is human nature. I can see egos tied a
little too close to car ownership in both the nsx and ferrari camps.
You have seen the pickup trucks (you have if you're in this part of the
country) that have the boy pissing on the ford or chevy logo in the
window. I guess some of those also own nsx or ferrari.

Sorry my man, too late. Ashley (aka "Paris") just had an enjoyable Saturday with the Ferrari clan, and yours truly. ;)

Hey Miami, if you are free this weekend, I can send you a ticket to Seattle. :)

the only time I have an issue is when a poster DOESN'T own a Ferrari and takes exception when a Ferrari owner says they like/prefer Ferraris over other cars.

Though these guys flatter me, i'm really not the guy to go to with questions... There are so many people on here who know far more than i do... i'm just slightly obsessed with some of the numbers... :)

i think what you do is VERY commendable... My grandmother had cancer. Twice. And she was a real b!tch well after the cancer was removed, so i can only imagine how trying some people can be sometimes... Though i'd wager that, more often than not, it's worrisome relatives that give you a tougher time than the actual patients...

Mike, i'm pretty sure it had a black interior at night... i remember seeing red lights in the dash... It was nighttime; pitch black... It was, at the time, by far, the fastest car i'd ever driven... i was totally blown away by it... It belonged to Billy Z., one of the members here... Before he tossed me the keys to his NSX, he took me for a ride in his Lotus Esprit V8 TT... After i got back with the NSX, we went for a ride in his F355 Berlinetta, then for a quick jaunt in his white Testarossa... What a memorable night... :)

I'm so sorry to hear of the difficulties your grandmother (and also yourself) experienced with the cancer. It is often not the patient's fault, as the chemo, the mixture of all the prescribed drugs, and/or radiation, really take a toll on one's body. Often creates a chemical imbalance in the brain, leading to a difference in the person's temperament unvoluntarily. Not to mention the sudden hijacking of their independence and security.

You sound quite humble about your knowledge. However, due to the other members' post, I'm going to believe you're quite the professor ;)

Again, it's great to be on this board
