Do any of you use a exhaust gas analyzer to adjust your carbs and will they work on the 308's i.e. are there separate exhaust pipes for each carb or is all the gas mixed in the muffler before it exits the car? Any low end models you would recommend?

I use an LM-1 on board analyzer i got from Pelican Parts. It is VERY cool and helpful. I do wish i had spent a buck or two and gotten the rpm probe with it.
The link below has a couple of examples. I keep A/F records of every carb jetting and how it performs on the road, and I am building an individual exhaust port adapter for it to set the individual idle screws.
Am happy to answer any questions

Just bought the LM-1 with the AUX Box . . . has two axis accelerometer in it.

I'm using the exhaust probe to see the A/F map of the stock Bosch Kjet before swapping to EFI. The sensor appears too large to fit in the factory bungs however.

The 308 has sampling ports on each exhaust pipe.

I suggest that you spend a few minutes on Google to check out all the wideband 02 sensor and data logging systems available. These are commonly used in the import tuning world - esp on boosted cars - where ECU remapping is a normal practice. The only significant install issue is to weld in a sensor bung upstream of the cat. Most datalogging systems also have external inputs for RPM, temperatures, etc.
