I've wondered this for a while, but haven't asked until now. Fellow F40 owners: how does your F40 appear in the Ferrari Owner's site (www.owners.ferrari.com) in the "Your Ferrari/Ferrari Garage" section. Mine is listed as "F40 LE MANS USA MY 91" I was wondering if it's standard to have "Le Mans" included in the description.

Good luck to all of you getting questions answered, or corrections made. I've tried for 2 years to have them delete my 328GTS from my garage. They even have a link to a dialog box to explain why you want a vehicle removed, and I've used it several times......no joy.

Interesting... does the "ecologico" mean it has cats, I wonder? Also, mine had the LM turbos put on by a dealer, so I'm wondering if somehow they updated the factory that my car had that, and therefore the description updated? Long shot I know... but possible.

zsnnf's entry looks like I would have expected mine to look like (with a 91 instead of a 92).

Or perhaps they just used "LE MANS" in the description prior to 92 (since we have a 90 and a 91 listed as such).

We need more owners to chime in to solve the mystery! :)

Probably a long shot but, those two differences make me wonder if the Le Mans refers to the color?

Possible, but doubtful. The color is shown in the second column.

When Ferrari introduced the F40 to the press it was called F40 Le Mans and that is how the factory still refers to it. Later on the press started calling it the F40 and the shorter 'LM' name was added to describe the race version.
