with as much help as he provides people with vin info, etc, I stand behind everyone who thinks that he's long been a consultant without the title - let's make it official. Yes from me.

I voted yes. I've come to "know" (I use the term losely here) Carbon as very knowledgable, yet approachable, as all consultants in this place are (as far as I can tell). So he fits the bill and that should be enough to get him the job.

We all knew Carbon before NNO. We knew DES before Carbon. We knew Dan before DES. But did you guys know that before Dan there was a very unhappy over weight girl with identity issues named Danielle?

Of course he/she should be a consultant (but in what areas?)!

    Absolutely! I vote yes!

Does, "You're another one; why don't you go gnaw on the flacid penis of a dead priest and stop being such an irritable, infected ****..." ring a bell? :)

I'm still laughing at some of his responses from the old days.

Carbon has a way of stringing words together to paint a picture in your mind that is truly amazing, be it a beautiful scene or an ugly one.

i don't think that's for me to decide; i think that's why this poll exists... It's not whether i feel like i deserve it or not, it's whether YOU, the FerrariChat PUBLIC feels i do...

    Thank you, Alex... :)

i'm not really sure how i became so popular here... i suppose you'd have to ask all of the members here who made me popular... i would LOVE to make a European tour some day and i plan on doing it... i have some great friends over there whom i would like to meet, like Wolfgang, Stephen and Collette, you and so many others...

i'm not sure how or why it happened, but it's certainly joy... i've made so many great friends here and i plan on doing just that - making more great friends...

i think your honesty is brilliant and i can identify with how you feel... What makes me so special...? Why do people always offer ME rides...? Why are people always tossing ME the keys to their wonderful, beautiful Ferraris...? If i knew the answers to those questions, Alex, you would be the first to know them, too...

Yes, i most certainly am... A lot of people say that to me, too, but few realize just how true and deep that statement is...

Thank you very much, Alex, i appreciate it... i hope to one day meet you...

    Wouldn't you trust this face?

I voted yes, of course. I think I know Carbon as well as anybody and I know that he's most definitely qualified for the job.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Forget being a consultant, Carbon for FChat Buffoon!!!! Besides he is a one trick Cavalino, all he cares about it the Enzo. Why don't we bring Allan back as a Lamborghini consultant instead?*

Since I was the one who suggested to Rob that Carbon be made a consultant I reserve the right to be extra mean.:D

I am fairly new to the site, and dont own an f-car but absolutely love everything Ferrari...so how could I even not knowing Carbon besides his posts vote no. The knowledge I have observed he has is unbelievable. BTW love some of those pics, they really made me laugh. Congrats on the nomination and pre-congrats on getting the position.

Carbon, you know I vote yes!!
Here is an example of the kind of guy Carbon is. He took the day off and drove a couple of hours each way to check out a car for me. Like everyone here, we love cars and it is fun to check out cars but to take the better part of a day to go see a car for someone you have only met recently is more than most would do. When I tryed to compensate him in some way for the time, etc, he told me to make a contribution to the hurricane victims instead because they needed it more. So not only is he generous with time and enthusiasm to help fellow fchatters, he is generous of spirit to help strangers in need as well.
    Class act in my book.

Carbon should send this thread to his family and let them see what a loved man he truly is. I think it's just great.

He isn't really that popular, there are 21,000 members and the thread has only been viewed about 2000 times so less than 10% of the membership even cares about the issue of him being a consultant. A lot of those views have been by the same people looking at it multiple times so the percentage is probably even lower. Then if you look at the number of people who actually voted (151) in favor you will realize that barely over half of one percent (.007) of FChat members actually want Carbon to be a consultant. George Bush would get more votes for president of France than Carbon is getting here.

    :D

That really puts it into perspective, Mark, thanks... Thanks a LOT...

Eric - i suppose that would really depend on WHICH park you'd be strolling through - and what time of the day (or night)... :)

Rob, this is going a lot smoother than you anticipated, huh...? C'mon, buddy, hang up the "owner/administrator" towel for a little while and take a few shots; you deserve it... :)
