Finally found some time to roam around FerrariChat again!

We have been working very hard on our shops and www.************.com now boasts almost 2,100 collectible Ferrari items and if I am not mistaken, we are the oldest FerrariChat sponsor!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, ************ is the probably the most extensive shop on the internet that caters for Ferrari memorabilia collectors, literature collectors and car owners (no complete cars or parts though!). Here you'll find almost everything related to Ferrari, brochures, owners manuals, vintage photos, racing memorabilia and so on.

Our other website is www.MaranelloMerchandise.com which is more geared towards the racing and F1 fans. Here you'll find the most elaborate offerings on Ferrari clothing, Michael Schumacher gear but also merchandise on the other F1 teams and racing series.

Finally I would like to introduce you to www.RossiMerchandise.com, the leading webshop for motorracing's greatest talent of these days, Valentino Rossi. Again the most elaborate apparel offerings + signed items.

As mentioned above, I hope to be able to be spending more time here at FerrariChat and will list some exceptional items here from time to time.

DON'T FORGET! Mention your FerrariChat login name when placing your order and we will grant you a 10% discount on your purchases!

Please do not take this the wrong way but...damn you have some rediculosly high prices for the 1:18 scale diecast items. $100 for the Whips 360 Spider?!...$80 for the 612? $20 for a model which is not even Ferrari authorized and is no bigger than 2 inches long?

More power to you for all that and more...but I'll be buying from eBay or www.diecastmuscle.com. Even with paying for shipping I come out at least half or better ahead than your prices.

    I'll gladly alaborate on this.

Do those other companies ship for free around the world?

Do you know what it costs to ship a 1/18 to Argentina, Greenland (yes, we have a customer there!) Sjanghai or Tokyo? It's a freakin' fortune! (Actually more than the cost of the model itself).

The average price for shipping a 1/18 is 26,75 Euro which is US$ 32 at the current exchange rate. Not very much if it concerns a 500 $ vintage brochure but a relative fortune if it concerns a newly released Hotwheels model. We don't charge our customers for that, it's included in the price.

Most people understand that and those are the customers that we cater for.

There is little use to buy a loaf of bread from an internet bakery at the other end of the world if you're living next door to a bakery yourself. Right?

If you take the Whips Spider, that one has only been released in the USA so we have to import them ourselves from the States, ship them overhere, stock them and ship them out to the customer again. Selling them back to States makes little sense then. Trust that everybody sees the logic in that.

And if we find a special model? Yes, if it makes sense, I'll buy it and offer it for sale. $ 20? Deduct 19% sales tax from it (not your concern but we have to sponsor our tax department with that) + the packaging, handling and shipping cost (again to any destination in the world) and how much do you think there is left of that $ 20 after considering that we don't get anything for free of course and also have to pay for the model itself?

So why do we sell these models if there are cheaper sources? Because our customers prefer to buy them from us. Big diecast models is NOT a good article for international mail order (you basically want as little weight as possible per $ sales value) but if our customers ask us for the models and are prepared to accept that shipping the models DOES raise the price, we'll gladly include them in our offerings. Are they too expensive for you? Then, PLEASE don't buy them but venture onto Ebay or whatever.

Read up on some of the Ebay Threads here and look at how many people simply will NOT ship outside their own country (for a myriad of reasons), also take a look at internetshops and see if they will ship to you if your not in the good old US of A... You'll be amazed to see how few professionals will cater for you if you happen to NOT live in the US. Basically a cry and shame...

With the exclusion of a couple a couple of countries (which have proven to have a 100% credit card fraud rate !) we will ship our products and articles to you without charging you anything extra regardless where you live.

We have been in international retail sales for quite some years now and are operating internetshops for some 6 years now with products ranging from $ 15 to over $ 5000 and we have never left the priciple of free shipping and non-discrimination in where we ship and we are survivors in this business. NOT because we rip people off but because we deliver good products that are generally NOT available off the shelf and at a decent price AND we will indeed ship it to you regardless of your nationality!

www.MaranelloMerchandise.com and www.RossiMerchandise.com have a returning customer base (i.e. customers that have bought more than once) that has just reached the magic number of 15.000 people. Would so many people buy... and buy AGAIN... if we were overly expensive? Judge for yourself.

Okay...I did not mean to ruffle your feathers or get your panties up in a bunch but damn man...all I did was point out the high prices. Simply put...I will not be buying from you due to the attitude demonstrated in your response combined with your prices. And yes...I have shipped models around the world and I do know the cost involved. Next...

Well... yes, you did ruffle my feathers....

I pay good money to support YOUR hobby by being a sponsor of FerrariChat.com and then getting a one-liner with "redicoulously high prices" from somebody who has never done any business with us and doesn't even want to spend the money to take a subscription to chat here and on top of that starts about my attitude when I give a very decent insight in how a BUSINESS vs occasional sellers on Ebay work... yeah... then I DO get upset.

    Strange?

    Uh, pssst....360 Spyder...

You have a Pontiac FOUR DOOR SEDAN as your profile pic.......

At least drop by my crib, I'll let ya snap a few of the six speed 25th Anniversary Trans Am LT1 with the ten speaker stereo and the graphic equalizer and the white leather upholstery and the 16" spoke wheels equipped with Goodyear GSC gatorbacks about a ****in' foot wide and maybe THEN....

You'll be closer to being qualified to chat to an international business man that travels routinely in Europe to the Ferrari Factory to hang out with the Team and gather up some swag to sell at VERY COMPETITIVE pricing on rare one of a kind items..........

See the kind of overhead involved in his target market?

He deals in RARE stuff, if you want a current Chinese Hot Wheels 360 Whip (which is the ugliest piece of Jesse James inspired crapola I personally have ever seen) then start up your lil' sedan there, and run down to the local Walmart, get a wobbly wheeled shopping cart, push it over to the Toy Section and BUY the darn thing.......

If you keep this up you'll NEVER get around back to that horse barn over there where in the shed on the side are REAL FERRARIS!

I bought THOSE after I tired of the lil' mirrors breaking off the models as the housekeeper dusted them, ROTFLMAO!

    Where's my coffee????!!!???

Oh, and if you'd be a lil' more discriminating in your choice of escorts, you could move forward in life, from your occupation of "Condom Tester"........

No not really, I judge them based upon the accuracy of their situational awareness! LOL!

He was taking a European memorabilia dealer to task for not having the worldwide low deal on chinese toys.........

Walmart has that........that's my well meaning recommendation...sincerely offered.

The last thing I purchased from ************ was a real team hat signed by three drivers at the Factory. Stuff like that, he's the best.

This is a Ferrari site, full of people that have one (or a WHOLE lot more) $300 baseball caps....LOL! No big deal.....

I attend church with some of the Houston Astros you'd recognize....I guess if they do well this year THOSE hats will be worth some money.....

You see my point about bidding Europe against Walmart. The current falling value of the US dollar worldwide also is making the cost of my Schedoni luggage go way up.........and so it goes.......
