Anybody more pictures of this beautifull red/yellow Daytona (see pic)
Never saw recent pictures of 14141, the only lowered Daytona comp. Raced at Le Mans in 1972, 73 and 74 (owner now a mister Sparling?)

Nope sorry, that's 15685! But that one raced at Le Mans in 1972 too.

14141 raced with no. 57 in that year. In 1973 with no. 38 and in 1974 with no.54.
It also raced at Bonneville(?) Salt Lakes

Why was this car lowered? (from start or during its race career)

The red and yellow Daytona was owned by Francisco Mir, owner of (then) the world's smallest Ferrari dealership in Santa Monica. He took delivery at LeMans. The car failed to make it due to an exploding clutch. I was on the "crew"--my first experience with a 24 hour race. I would not have believed a car could be so used up in the 18 or 20 hours that it ran.

The organizers almost didn't let it run as they claimed that the paint would be confusing to the scorers.

Frank's dealership was (I think) Ferrari Diagnosis and Service. Sorry, I don't remember the S/N. The LeMans effort was 1973.

I have slides of 16367 taken by me at LM '73 (was on team) but I'm an old jerk and need to figure out how to scan and post. Will try to get some help.
