Another question regarding 308 eng. pan R/R

Hello fellow "F"-Chatters,

Yes I'm sure you'll think that I should have this finished by now, but work has the time priority.

If anyone would please answer a few questions concerning the engine pan removal:

a. Will the oil sending unit/temp gauge need to be removed?
b. What type of wedge is recommended to use to pry the "stuck/glued" pan
from the engine block?
c. While I was in there I want to R/R the shift seals. Is this a straight
forward job? or requires some instruction? As always, pictures are very much welcomed and apprecated as a picture paints a thousand words!
