Drove past Stratsone Jaguar in Luton today and saw a 97 lhd 355 in there for 40k with 30000 miles on the clock. looked in excelent condition. Red with black leather berlinetta Do you guys think this is good value? I know there are one or two on this site after 355's so I thought would let you know.
Not drop everything value. Good RHD ones, albeit older, have gone for not an awful lot more (42-45k) and I think Verdis have just sold one at 36k!
There is a 94 RHD 355 at Braidwood Motors outside Edinburgh (nothing to do with me) for £35,995 just now. http://brdwd.co.uk/cgi-bin/sales.pl?v_make=48&action=Find
If you think £40k for an LHD 355 sounds good value, how about this £25k LHD 456? http://www.bespokecarsofchelseaharbour.co.uk/GetDealer.do?did=27951&pageid=1 Looks to me to be incredible value!
My 97 LHD 355 Spider with crema leather, mph clocks (specified from new like this for UK delivery) and 20,000 miles cost me £47k from KHPC in April last year. I reckon £40k for a 30,000 miler with black leather is probably quite reasonable, but not a huge bargain unless it's just had a cambelt service.
It MIGHT be if it was a spider Dem, but it's a Berlinetta, which last time I looked was a bit less desirable m8!
A nice looking rhd spider here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4581637736&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Fcgiurl%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%252Fws%252F%26fkr%3D1%26from%3DR8%26satitle%3D4581637736%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1 the number plates is familar anyones here?
Ah, good spot mate! The devil's in the detail, as they say! 40k For a hard top LHD with 30k on the clock and not even crema leather. Me thinks a tad pricey, even just after a cambelt change!
I got £42k for my rhd '97 spyder as a trade in. Now up for £50k at Nc's. Nick will make the car mint though.
just sold my 355 gtb 28k +new tyres+belts+new clutch 1995 twin air bag got £44k . twelve months ago jct offered £33k in swop for 360?
I poped into the dealer today to look at this car and its immaculate. It has also had some sort of zymol treatment done for £700. Does anyone know what this might be. Hope this link works http://www.tins.co.uk/ui2004/frameset.asp?page=4&phone=used type model in and ferrari its the first one on the list
Unless someone specifically wants a LHD one (?) then I think you are better off going for a UK RHD with known history for the same price. Here is one in london on at £39,995: http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/CARS_popup.asp?modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=FERRARI&model=F355&variant=&keywords=&min_pr=35000&max_pr=50000&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=se16+5ny&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&photo=1&sort=3&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH&start=8&distance=5&adcategory=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200541210823331
Ade I think we all understand where you are coming from, but your example just shows the huge differences in the market. The LHD car has done 30k miles and is F1, it also is being sold by a major retailer, so there wil be some sort of warranty and a good level of preparation, your car appears to be a private sale, has done 15,000 more miles and is 3 years older, I personally think that more than compensates for LHD
Thats a series of good points Damn this infernal pricing equation we have to understand, comprising of 147 complex variables, probably derived using some sort of calculus (he struggles to think back to A-levels Maths) perhaps integration/differentiation. Does anyone want my car for somewhere between 30-60K ? Alternatively Im offering a contractually binding lucky dip option within this range....
