    I need a mechanic / garage in Switzerland in the Luzern / Zug / Zurich area to do a pre-purchase inspection at a fair price and maybe the future service.

    Any suggestions?

    Have you tried Thomas Frey in Horw? Close to Luzern.

    Alternatively, if its closer to Zurich try Garage Foitek. I've dealt with them for many years.

    Dear Simon, thank you for your advice. I think I know the place in Horw you are referring to, since I have driven by there several times. I have so far not been to Foitek but heard about it. I will call both and see what they say.

    I have called them both and they were both very friendly. Suggested around CHF 300 for a PPI...
