$42.00 for a gallon of colored water is insane. Some industrial coatings are expensive because of the low sales volume, but interior house paint? My parents has an ant problem, after getting a bunch of qoutes my father bought Dixoxinal (spelling?) at Home Depot and spread it with his lawn spreader 6ft around the perimeter of the house. After a few months, no more ants. It took a while to kill off all the ants that were trapped inside, but I think his cost was about $50.00. Now as a matter of principle twice a year he spreads that chemical and has not had an ant in a decade.

From what I hear any exterminating co will treat your home for a fat sum & drill lots of holes in the concrete in the driveway etc to guarantee your dwelling. But when you get termites, they come up w/ the statement, Our bond does not cover that species of termites. WTF can one do?
