    My name is Eric and I am a member of DRILL (Ducati Riders of ILLinois)

    We are the only "Offically Recognized" Ducati Club in Illinois!

    We are trying to plan an "Italian Day" next summer that would involve very passionate Ferrari and Ducati owners to meet up and share stories, make new friends and most importantly...show off their finely engineered Italian works of art. We really want to make this happen and we feel it would be a really good time.

    Let me know what you think...this could really turn out to be something special!

    sounds like a fun time-would 2002 mv agusta 750 f4 be welcome, or will this be ducati/ferrari only event???-any chance you could include lamborghinis in this event as well???

    If you are interested...

    There are a number of gatherings during the summer that amongst the welcomed attendees are Italian bikes.

    Automobili Italiane usually in July, possibly Ferraris on Oak Street and others.

    To answer all of your questions:

    We all got our bikes at MCC...the Mecca Italiano!

    We would love anything mechanica...Vespa...MV Agusta...etc

    Lamborghini's are welcome too!

    We would love to give exposure to everybody...and Ducati North America would love this event!

    Yes...we totally go to Players in Chicago...that is our roost on Tuesday nights...Ducati Night.

    I am sooo happy there is some interest in this...it can be so much fun...besides...I think we have the total sexy factor in ownership over the Japanese car tuners/bike riders. Let's show them how it is done...with class!

    Ah,yes,I Thought so. (Getting your bikes at MCC) I took my Son there to scope out the little KTM Motocross Bikes. But,I think that He still needs to get alittle more experience on his Honda CRF70 and XR50. I have seen Italian Cars there,too,including a Red Ferrari 308.

    Maybe if we start combining all Vehicles Italian,we will get better showings at Events. My buddy Jimmy who owns an Italian Restaraunt in Lombard,and his Wife both drive Vespas. He is looking for a Red Fiat 500 Topolino,too.

    Hey,if you guys want to meet up with us this Sunday at the Morton Arboretum,that would be Cool. (See other thread)

    The DRILL group is going to attempt the last ride of the season up to Wisconsin this Sunday...but if you guys want to swing by Hooters in Schaumburg next Thursday evening around 7...that would be nice too.

    If not...we should plan a small meet-and-greet session.

    I once tried to get my bike into Automobili Italiane, they wouldn't let me enter it even though it has Borrani rims!!

    What's up with that??
