almost forgot... silver 575M southbound on 41 N of Lake Cook Road about a week ago, >50 y/o F driving, yacking away on the phone......... hope she enjoyed the ride!
This was by far the most interesting car this weekend which included a Carrera GT, a GT40 and a Mosler. The owner has had it since the 1970's, and modified it with wider wire wheels to accomodate modern 225 series rubber. Well maintained and well used, unlike most similar vintage Ferrari's. Why don't you show a pic of that nice white GTV6 in the background?
last saturday, i saw a silver gallardo doin about 120+ through traffic on 355 right past 53. it was right by the tunnel with the shiny white tile on the walls. my friend also told me he saw a silver gallardo a few days earlier flyin down plum grove road between euclid and kirchoff. most likely the same crazy driver.
Cops always hide at the end of that tunnel. If he goes that way often they'll get him sooner or later.
Anyone seen Short Circuit? There is a light tank used for scouting that is featured in the film. Back in the 80's, two well known exotic collectors (featured in the magazine Robb Report, ) used to sell these along with their Lambo Countach and Ferrari TRs. One of these dealers located just over the border near Madison... Well on Friday I was suprised to see one just cruising down Lake-Cook Road in Buffalo Grove right near the indoor gokarting place. It certainlly was slowing down traffic as there were many gawkers but none the less, a very interesting spot that would leave you more interested than your everyday F50 or 250 TR. Have the Swiss Army invaded the NW burbs? Has Tifosi12 been a sleeper spy all this time? RocketBoy
Completely off topic: One of my cousins directed the movie "Espion, leve-toi" (Spy, wake up!) with Lino Ventura. It is about a sleeper spy who gets "awakened" in Zurich. My sister was in it as well.
Red, white stripes, Ford GT on Milwaukee heading north in Wheeling around lunch time today. Very sharp. RocketBoy
I love'em! Latest issue of Octane has a special report about a guy who toured parts of Europe in a GT hitting all the historic places the GT40 became famous for.
saw this the other day, it's not Ferrari, it's not even sporty, but still blew my mind How can they steer this? What could they be transporting that requires distributing the load like this? I think the sign on the tank said "HOT" Anyone have any idea what and why? Chelle Image Unavailable, Please Login
Uh oh looks like you spotted something that......well lets just say the government doesn't want you to know about.
No Doubt! Being that heavy,I'm thinking Plutonium or a Missile System or something. I drove Trucks back in the 1980's for awhile. And,I knew a guy that hauled Old Train Locomotive Engines down in Tennessee,in order to get them from the Railroad to a Train Museum,or another Railroad. And,these were Cast Iron Old Steam Engines! Heavy!!! He showed me many Pictures of that. And the Tractor Trailers that hauled Them didn't even have that many wheels! So,something is Berry, berry Fishy here......
Red 360 Modena headed Eastbound on IL. RT.38, (Roosevelt Rd.) In West Chicago, just East of Kress Rd. today at around 3:30PM. Looking Good!
