I'm mounting F50 brakes on my F40 so I'm sort of thinking of maybe putting the F40 brakes on the 308 :) The F40 brakes really are awful though whereas the 308 brakes are not bad on such a heavy car. Maybe if I swap the master cylinder on the 308 the F40 brkes will work better ?

All F40 brakes in general are "awful" or just those particular rotors/pads are bad?

Ive heard A LOT of grumbling from many F40 owners. I had porterfield pads which work great in all my other cars.

The F50 brakes I have on my 512TRs are much much better

They cost the same as a 308.

Cool. Have you thought about entering your hopped-up F40 into Le Mans?

I'd pay my own way over to Europe to serve on your crew. Seriously. It'd be a hoot. Bet you'd win, too (though fun even if you didn't).

I bet other F-chatters would volunteer, too.

The F40's V8 would easily handle 24 hours of racing.

Put your hands in the air... now turn and walk away from the crack pipe.

    Hi William,

The F40 calipers have too much piston area for the OE 308 master cylinder size. If you replace the master cylinders with a dual setup you can get away with it. You are going to loose the E brake if you do this.
