    Hello,

does anyone know who is the admin of the FChat map ? I just added myself - first in Germany - but screwed up something. Now I'm on the map twice and would like to contact the admin to ask him for deletion of one entry.

    Best Regards

    Martin

    Hello,

this amusing thing can only work if advertised in an appropriate manner. Otherwise it will get lost in the 'Other Off Topic nirvana'.
Maybe Rob Lay would like to make this a sticky thread ?

    Best Regards from Germany

    Martin

The country I wanted to add isnt even on the map!

As for Rob putting this as a sticky, I think he occasionally puts up pictures of the globe analysing where poeple are accessing this site from. Maybe you should request one of those?

Weird, I zoomed in all the way to my location, apparntley I live in a field!

Actually, I live about 1/2 mile from there and the curvy road to the upper left if the road I take to my school everyday!

The idea of this website sounds appealing at 1st but then I noticed ppl where actually putting in their zip/post code, just a general area would be a better bet!

Not meaning to dampen anyone's enthusiasm for this, it is indeed a great idea in concept. My concern however is that it is wide open to abuse, now people know exactly where your ferrari's are kept so they have a much better way of stealing them! I'm not putting my details to this site.

It isn't accurate. I put my zip code and the spot where I'm listed is many miles from my house.

Agreed. The location of the pin is 2-3 miles away from my actual address (probably a denser zip code than TX, so smaller physical region, but still not at all useful for locating members).
