'89 Mondial T Shifting engagement problem - HELP!

    Have an '89 Mondial T Cab with only 9k miles on it. Sometimes either it will not engage into 1st gear, or after trying numerous, numerous times it will engage with much difficulty. Also, grinding into 3rd gear. Warm or cold, same problem. Slow or fast shifting. Seems like a clutch problem but hard to imagine with the milage.

    It could also be a shift linkage problem

    As mentioned, try adjusting the shift linkage first.

    Then make sure that your clutch is properly bled.
