Did that kid survive college?

 

funny thing is, i have been thinking about the same kind of stuff lately. How i thought i was the **** going into freshman year. Now i look back on it and im like wtf was i thinking.

 

Wait until you get to the end of university...

 

hahaha i cant wait till college. but i want to enjoy my senior year first. Im auctually doing my essay for Villanova University right now.

One thing I remember is me and one of my buddies got a little drunk one night of my freshman year at this party and went and tipped outhouses. Funniest thing ever then. We laughed about it for weeks, now that Im a junior, I look back and realize how immature and stup.....ahh, nevermind...Im gonna go do it again this weekend, that was way fun!

But on a serious note, even in the 2 years its been since I entered HS, I can tell Ive changed ALOT.

I was 17 not too long ago and I thought I was also an adult (im still not), and that I knew so much (i still dont). I also thought that 18 was the magic age. I was mistaken. It's 21. While I always knew it would be good to be 21, I never realized how many more doors it would open for me (literally. nice bars tend to be strict with ID's).

 

I turn 21 in a few months, and i'm actually afraid too. A) b/c my frat. brothers are going to make sure I die, and B) I'm just toooooo immature to be 21. I don't mean, the drinking part but I'm a kid at heart and always will be. I just can't see myself being "that old". Yes, 21 is old to me!

 

I'll be 18 tomorrow

 

21 isnt so much about being able to drink (you can do that at any age easily). I think it has a lot to do with the realization that "Oh sh*t, I'm 21. where did the time go" coupled with "Oh Sh*t, im not going to be in college much longer". After a while it ends up being no big deal. After re-reading this paragraph I realize it makes no sense, but those are the best words i can come up with to describe it.

Me too, I feel like I've matured a lot but even more than that I look at the kids who are freshmen this year and think to myself "wow, that was me two years ago, boy have times changed."

I think being able to drive is a major step during that time because it gives you a lot more freedom but you also come to the realization that if you mess up its all gonna go away.
