    I used to have

I8A 4RE on the front vanity tags of my Porsche 944 S2.

I got that one off of "Steve Sanders' " Corvette from Beverly Hills 90210.

I'm so stuck in the 80's

I would get a plate that isnt model specific because you never know what you are going to be driving in the future. I have a set of model specific plates off my 71 challenger (I sold) and now they sit collecting dust.

LOTUSH is taken in IL, but when I got an antique plate they let me have it.

Maybe the Pontiac owner had a Ferrari at one point and plans a future one but needed to keep it on some car to retain possession of the plate. Nahh, too far-fetched.

No car yet, but I'm hoping for one of these:
    USEDCAR
    NOTRICH
    MIDLIFE

    But I want the car more than the plate. And I sort of agree that it's way cooler to take the regular tag. As if I could afford the vanity plate after buying the car 8-}

I doubt it would get approved, but you could try venting your aggravation with "DMV SUX"

    How about (horse related):

    HOOFNIT
    INASADL
    EATSHAY
    BAREBCK

What kind of horse is that on the Ferrari badge?

On a somewhat related note: Did you guys see that Griot's garage now offers replica Euro license plates with any wording on them you like?

I thought that was kinda cool. I'm going to get me a German plate I could never get while there. :)

I have a friend of mine whose plate reads "MMMNMM" He has yet to get a ticket because the cops have never written it down correctly. He goes to court and gets them thrown out every time.

I love vanity plates. I had a BMW M5 with the plate BIMMMMER. Made the cover of the club magazine with that one.

I just received my plates for the Ferrari. My wife is Italian so she picked it out. We couldn't fit the correct spelling in only 8 letters but she assured me that Italians would get it.

I have to apologize for the quality of the photo. I’ll take better ones this weekend in the daylight.

I always wanted to get sequential plates that said:

    PROVA 1
    PROVA 2
    PROVA 3

But at the end of the day, a plate is a plate is a plate. I just want to drive.

I remember back in 1979, when I went to the Long Beach GP for the first time, I found a vendor selling a paperback book showing a whole lot of California personalized plates and indicating the cars they were on. I seemed to recall that at the time the CA plate "FERRARI" was on a Datsun 240Z!

I didn't buy the book because it was horribly overpriced. Now I wish I had.....
