I am trying to put wheels on a 2005 Murcielago Coupe, they are 20x13.5 rear and 19x9.5 front's.
The tire size I am figuring out, which best suits the stock size are 345/25/20 in the rear, and 275/30/19 front (Pirelli Rossa's).
The stock size are 335/30/18 rear and 245/35/18 front.
Any help could be useful, I've called Lamboghini of Atlanta, as well as the North American tech's from lambo themselves. Tirerack and Pirelli were no help also.
They are trying to push a 235/35/19 on the front.... but I'd be willing to think it would screw the drivetrain.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Regards,
    Christopher Frost

The overall diameter of the tire must be the same as the stock tires. It has to be exactly the same. If not then the viscous coupling will be destroyed as the 4 wheel drive is synchronized to the proper radii of the tires. The manual states that if a single tire goes bad (such as a flat tire) you must replace all four at the same time. Many have tried different tires with success because they kept the right diameters, others have bought new drive line parts, expensive.

The tire size combinations everyone has been telling me is the 345/25/20 rear and either the 255/30/19 front or the 235/35/19 front, tell me this is not worse then the 345/25/20 and the 275/30/19 front?
I just see their combination to be much worse, and much different then stock. But even Tire Rack is GUARENTEEing it will work, but if that is so, why is it so far off??
As for Lambo themselves, they will not say anything besides the stock sizes, which is perfectly understandable.
    Thanks again.

Not sure if I can post a pic the rims themselves yet, until the owner see's them... he hasn't even seen them yet, :). When they are on the car I will post pics and link them to you. Though we need to call NC to see about having one flaw fixed.

I just need to get these tires down, I want every car 100% perfect, or as humanly possible..
Though I have to admit, these weren't my wheel (size) choices. Any help would be great.

13.5" rear wheel? why in the world do you want one that flippin wide? Have you seen a 345 tire mounted on a 13.5" yet? IMO 12.5 is PLENTY, it stretches the sidewall out and makes the tires look funny if you go much bigger.

Haven't checked available tire sizes yet, but as I figure:

Stock rolling diameter F/R is 1975.12/2067.80 or a .955 ratio (important for the VT system since there is no differential/clutch system between the front and rear wheels - go too far out of spec and you'll just burn up the front diff as it tries to turn faster or slower than the wheels) so with what you suggested (275/30/19) the RD ratio is 2034.50/2137.85 or a .951 ratio - not too huge a difference, but as many have said, the 275 is a very wide tire for what you're looking at. A similar ratio could be maintained with a 235/35/19 as others have mentioned, as this would leave you a 2032.92/2137.85 or a .9509 ratio. It's pretty close, and given the differences in real world rolling diameters of different tires, it *should* put you close enough that you won't be absolutely demolishing the front diff, but any difference (as referenced by the earlier post) from stock will eventually cause premature wear which is why lambo sys to replace all 4 tires at once.

    Thanks Guys,
and thanks Yellow Murci, we're undecided at this point... so we basically have are arms crossed, and hoping for some solid info, if the 275's will fit in the front (will find out this weekend) then we will be using them I guess.. unless we get info before then.

Any updates? Going to put out another tire order tonight, if possible any updates would be great!
    Thanks Yellow Murci.
Basically if I can squeeze the 275 in w/o hitting fender or suspension it's a go. I'd rather have the closer, and wider tire then the recommended and further off (from stock) tire.
    Thanks again!

Aehaas: Why can't you just replace a flat tire with a new, exactly the same as the flat, tire? Why in the world would you have to replace the other three? Are you assuming that by installing a new tire with more tread that would make that much of a differance??
