One of my companies is "Start your own home based business".. So if people need jobs, I can give it to them.. What the hell does that have to do with Ferrari's?? Or people who like Ferraris in So Cal?? Pete is a great guy, I found his thread in the B&I section very informative, but his SPAM was totally out of character.

In all fairness, the pole should of been titled: "Is cross-posting acceptable if the topic has a genuine benefit to FChat members?"

Still No. I think everyone sees you were trying to be helpful with a great offer. But in reality only a small fraction of FChat members would seriously consider your offer or think that it could fit someone they knew. That's not of universal benefit to FChat members to justify so many cross-posts.

In looking at the forum structure I think I can see your problem. You had a proposition that you thought was of benefit to a number of FChat members, but not everyone looks at B&I. At the same time, your proposal didn't fit any broad-readership Ferrari specific forums. Perhaps the thing to do would have been to ask Rob if you could post a notice in the "Announcements" section then.

    No Press is Bad Press....

the fact is, that EVERYONE knows about this offer! Many would argue that even knowing that you would be banned, that it was an incredibly brilliant move. I hope the offer does great and I hope it helps both Fchatter's involved and PeterS.

Does 'Networking' mean anything to you? That's a big part of this board.

this isn't even a question, really. It's already been decided.

Didn't you put this poll in general discussion too!? ;)

PeterS: Offers that are a "benefit to the members" is too vague to be enforceable. Everyone thinks their product/service/offer is a benefit. There could be no good standard to judge that.
