Initiation/rights of passage torture for young apprentices.. Best appliedwhen they're getting sloppy or need a touch of humbling(use sparingly and wisely) 1.Send them out for stripped paint.. 2.Send them down to the hardware for a glass hammer 3.Send them to a local workshop(vary distance according to needs) to get "the long stand"(phone said workshop and ask them to keep himm standing there for 15 minutes or so) etc etc
The amount of bondo on 0854's Spyder tail, which was originally on 0858, that we're now fitting to 0846 is a bit much... Image Unavailable, Please Login
you guys using a metal blade on thar skin Mr. G? I was too chicken on 0556(0446) w/ the light gauge alum skin - I used plastic scrapers and I'm sure it took 3 times longer . . . Image Unavailable, Please Login
LOL - I defer to Sal - but at least my forearms are bigger since I got to scrape the same freaking areas over and over . . . so can I assume they don't use Eastwood's De-kote in the old country, either?
I see....the discussion on the tails was confusing, at first....basically the P3 vs. P4 extended differently to the bottom...parallel with the door bottom, or not... Interesting note about the flat bar vs. tubing replacement on the frame, as well....nice find!
Hi The sill where the tail rests is square tubing on both the P3's and P4's. (P 3/4 0846,412P 0854 and P4 0856) Best
Mind if I come over on Sunday to take a look? Have to work on Saturday and take some coworkers to a Devil's game, Spicy arrives Wednesday.
Not all all except this is being done in Indy at John's shop and this weekend Jesse, Sal, and I are all out there as well. Please give me a call. Best
Is this John the same guy who did the work on #0846? I remember giving a lift to a guy and his wife at the FFQC last year who said that he did the body work. I was amazed because he was pretty young to know how to beat panels. If I recall correctly, he actually had an art background. Have I got this straight, or have the bats got out again? Dale
Hey Yes that was John. When guys like him are gone this will all become a lot harder to get done... Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is great to see a young person get into this. From what I recall when we talked, he actually has an art background, yes? From one form of art to another! Great work, Dale
