Hey Im "relatively" new here. I've been more of a browser than a poster. Unfortunately I don’t have a F-car just yet, and am forced to live my automotive dreams vicariously though family members, but hopefully when I am settled with my career I’ll be able to own a piece of racing history. My parents’ stable includes a Maserati Spyder and they are gracious enough to allow me to enjoy it whenever I can, so I guess that’s my indirect connection =P. I still get a little school boy grin every time I downshift from 5th to 2nd and feel the pull (funny thing is the same grin can be seen on my father's face when he does the same.) I can’t image what the same engine feels like in a lighter car with a lower center of gravity and a higher power to weight ratio. I’ve been visintg FOCJ, LOBC, and CC for sometime and have always been treated with utmost respect from all parties. Since my father’s car was purchased out of state I was looking to the pros/cons of local Ferrari/Maserati facilites. My daily driver is a performance modified 330Ci. But since driving the Spyder Im yearning for a daily driver V8 (perhaps the new M3).
He's tried to pull a couple of fast ones with some folks here. Most notable being the time he tried to sell a friend a wrecked 355 that CC repaired. No doubt that CC is a great shop, but when asked he said it was not a wreck. When we compared our notes and photos from previous visits: was a wreck. There's other tales, too, of rushing cars out when work was not complete. The saga of the 355 horn installs in tehe 360 that was done incorrectly and he refused to repair the cars correctly after the horns stopped working. Jacking up invoices. Not standing by estimates... HOWEVER, CC is an excellent shop. Rocco and Frank are the goods over there. They stand by everything they do 100%. I cannot say enough great things about CC. It's just... that Mayur sometimes seems to "forget" things. Anyone else want to weigh in?
I've only dealt with Jimmy, Frank, Carlos and Rocco. I've never met this man. But he works for Frank. I would expect that you would be able to get something straightened out with Frank if there was a problem. I've done it. I think you need to make an issue of it. Am I missing something here? Bob S.
