Hi all Have a 1982 Mondial 8 (Non -QV) that is too far gone to fix. Has lots of repairs to 1995, but then was left to rot by then owner. Needs too much ( bodywork and paint, sunroof doesn't work, windshield delaminated) to be worthwhile to fix. Seller lied to me, and I bought unseen except photos. Live and learn. Runs and drives. Had lots of work done to 1995, including the new fuse box, which I am told costs nearly $1K if you need it. Has many cross parts with 308's. Will part out, or sell whole car for $6500. That Mondial auction looks like the same con as the $16,000 GTB from last week. If you do some homework you will probably find this car for sale somewhere else with a legit asking price.
Me too. I was interested in that car when it was on ebay, but it was like in bumpkin Alabama or something... I've got fixer-upper 88 Lotus esprit that I would have loved to trade for another Ferrari Man, a fixer-upper mondial for $6500.... I'm crying as I speak =-)
Heck - he said it runs and drives - we could have group restored it between us all and sold it to Carbon for the price of his Sebring/Nissan! I would have loved to have it to see how much lighter I could make it and still street worthy, and of course bolt-on retrofit 308GT/4 carb/cams/exhaust for 250+ hp: The Mondial 8 Challenge Stradale!
