No, this is a very serious issue. One way or another someone had access to a mod account and threats were made to hack FerrariChat.com and towards users. That is pretty serious in my books.
G'night Dave! G'night Rob G'NIGHT BRUCE! Matt, you have TWO hours to go! Take care in your travels. ttyl......... Bubba!
Rob, Can you outline what exactly took place? we hear about hacked accounts and personal threads and the like but it seems the rumors abound. Who hacked who? Who made threats to hack fchat? etc etc.
Rob: That may well be, however, if you look at the posts, unless you're an IP guy or something similar, figuring out what is being said is impossible. I figured out that someone had taken Omar's identity, but the balance of this makes no sense to someone not in the field. So the first 10 - 20 posts make sense, the balance doesn't. That was my point. Art
Who called who a criminal? Art, you couldn't even hold Dave's used condom when it comes to integrity. He repeatedly owned you when he was here, and you know it. This is why you continue to boldly make personal attacks towards him, because you know he's not here to eat your lunch. Christ, I just posted this thread this morning. Some of us have better things to do during the day, like "work", instead of sitting here waiting for the next bomb to drop.
Because it isn't the TRUTH. He types in CAPS because that is the way he talks!! Who gives a rats ass?
Speak for yourself! I'll be out there on the roads tonight! Okay, okay, so it's only because I have to drive home, but still.
Gus, Love your Avatar! I'm a ****in idiot!!!! I'm a ****in idiot!!!! I'm a ****in idiot!!!! I'm a ****in idiot!!!! I'm a ****in idiot!!!! I'm a ****in idiot!!!!
Holy f*ck, I come home from a long day & read this, now I'm a little more bitter to those over this account hacking scandal. These recent events to our board makes me compleatly sick to my stomach. Lets get over all this BS, start acting like civilized human beings, & get back to enjoying this site properly. Dave, If your reading this, I have nothing but the upmost repect for you & I'm proud to call you my friend. I'll see at those varios track events around Texas.
This thread, and the other one only give more credit to the topic i raised in Rossa. For the un-informed. I basically said everyone on here has their periods, and should really look back at what is being posted, and try and convince yourself that it is anywhere near constructive. Seriously. Its the Internet. Pay respect to others like you would in R/L, and enjoy talking about various things, like adults. Banish the Trolls, and accept that the Brother has vision issues, and stop asking the question every f cking time. It burns me up to see hurtful people on here, who are not subscribed, and just post the ***** they spew out, and leave..... You need to be destroyed.
Yeah. I have no idea what's going on. I'm only going off whats been posted in this and the other thread
Depending on the database vBulletin uses and what version, I know one of the more common ones (MySQL) had some issues where the password() function was crackable. So even though its a 1 way hash, with enough time and processor power someone could get the word/whatever used to make the hash.
Rob since this is the case I think they should be banned, even if they are subscribed members. And if they are subscribed, maybe their subscription should be canceled, no refund? You probably can't do that legally since they didn't agree to that when they signed up but maybe from now on new subscribers have to agree that if they are banned their subscription is canceled. And I don't think temporary bans help much...
Well "enough time and processor power" is always the qualifier for cracking any hash or cipher. The objective is to make that time greater than the life of the universe at the instant of use . If the cipher length or the algorithm was flawed so that a crack was achievable in a few years or less of processing time, then that *is* a problem.
Does FChat use MySQL? Also does FChat salt it's hashes (so that a hash repository can't be consulted for a reverse lookup)?
