Ahem, cough, TExaS Mike: Excuse me, but at least two of the cars shown there are/were OWNED by me. And, that pic of me, standing by the blower Barchetta, is, a, me. And, the house behind the GT 2, cough * my house. What's the question?
I think many that post here swing a lot of crap & heavy chains w/ no NOTHING to back it up w/. Most bashers here have NEVER OWNED a Ferrari or even have a sportscar. What? You thinK?
I owned 4 Ferrari's at different times from about 1979 to 1986. Then for the next 15 years, I was focusing all my assets on expanding my businesses, etc. After I sold the companies (early 2000's) I got back in and have owned 4 more. Point is ... I was the same person during my "hiatus" than both before and after. I was just in different circumstances, as most of us are at one period or another. But had FChat existed in those years, I'd have been a non-owner. But still a prince of a fellow!
LOL... Yes Whart, it was a joke. Sorry, I didn't think anyone would really think I was claiming those fine cars are mine. BTW, nice house!
why are you challenging darth on his cars??? he has had 4 ferraris. If you would finally use the search function for once, you'd be able to see his cars. And they were damn nice ferraris at that.
I frequently turn up at one of the places I currently work in a Tshirt, I suppose realy it depends on whether or not you OWN the business or not
I think this is a sportscar--specifically Ferrari--site. NOT a 'bashing' site. Ownership allows no entitlement to rudeness, poor manners, or 'hounding' someone to death. I got no problem telling folk that I'm not one of the anointed, but some people might. I'm the same person, owner or not.
Sorry Karen, no Ferrari yet.. at 27 I'm afraid the 'rents have a few years to go before they croak. Just how old are you, anyways?
Karen: I have often defended you when the Darth, Matt gang go after you. But, I fail to see the point of this thread. It is provocative where it doesn't need to be, implies that 'ownership' has any significance beyond the joy of it, and the sharing of that joy with others, and actually suggests that Ferrari owners think more of themselves as a result. Sorry, I just think this is wrongheaded.
Gotta agree with Mr. Hart. I happen to own a Ferrari right now. A while back I didn't In the future, I may not. I still listen to the same music, have the same job, believe the same things, and in general am the same person I was pre-ownership. The only difference is now I own an extra depreciating liability.
