I know the CS and 430 have the variable exhaust system with a flapper that opens as the rpms climb. I also know that some people "lock" their flappers open so the sound is not muffled at all. I happen to like it muffled at idle since it is not obnoxious for my neighbors at 6:00am when go to Crystal Cove. However, I would like the "unmuffled" sound to come on sooner. Can the flapper be adjusted to open at a lower rpm? I know vacuum pressure opens them. Is there a way for the pressure to be increased earlier? Instead of them opening at around 6000rpm can they be opened at 4000rpm?

Sure why not make something adjustable? There exsisted a flapper once that was a off center perforated butterfly that was spring loaded and could be adjustable. It made a lot of sense then although I did not try one. Because the shaft on the butterfly was off center the exhaust pressure would open it when exhaust and spring pressure were overcome.
