    My search for a late 348 continues. I'm not in a big hurry. I have found a very nice 91 348 GTS. I have been hoping for a 92 as it was the last 348 GTS for the US market. 93 and up 348's (save for a few special models) were all convertibles. So I'm looking for any information on the various upgrades between the 91 and the 92 348. If the differences are not that significant I'll consider this 91. They are asking $59,900. 11,000 miles. Carfax shows it as about 700-1000 miles per year. So not long storage years. Bought in New Mexico and owned there for 7 years. Sold and resided in Florida until now. I have not looked at it but it appears to be showroom and Sheldon has done the belt service about 3 years ago.

    There have been alot of posts on this. You might try doing a search. I forget the exact updates, but there were minor updates from '91 to '92.

    '93 and up where Series Speciale and '94 was challenge. Fewer production and harder to find, but not necessarily more expensive.

    Don't worry about the year so much - I would focus more on the condition and the service history. There were imporvements, but nothing to pass up a well-sorted and maintained earlier version. That's what I think anyway.

    Three years ago on the timing belt... you may need to do it again soon. 92 had battery change location amoung other things to supposedly balance the car a bit better if I remember right... do a search for all the updates....

    From what I have been reading a very late build 1992 348 would be the best. Most of the later good changes happened in the 93-95's. Some in the late 91 and thru 92. I'm certain finding a late build date 1992 348 may be a difficult task or if I just happen to get lucky. So I want to keep myself open to a 91.

    $59k seems a bit high for a 91. I recall a yellow yellow Series Speciale here in Florida that was listed for some time at around $55k if I remember correctly. It seems that 355s are also coming down in price on a monthly basis.

    It was on ebay a few times for $56k starting, reserve not met with a BIN of $59.xK. It was for sale at a non F-Car dealership that was the subject of a "rant thread".

    PPI showed a few things like the passenger door could only be opened from the inside or the outside, can't remember which. I did not buy it, but I think it has sold.
