I have to agree with Karen's assesment of the best place to dance. Always the best music and the best energy. In fact, my wife and I are going to one in a few weeks with friends to dance. My ring will be PROMINANTLY displayed on my finger and my wife will be close at all times though!!! Ha!!

Matteo DID "put up" with his pic of his car. Nicely done too, I might add. Bonus points for putting the computer screen in the picture!!!

I must say I am VERY disappointed in the lack of class shown by some of the guys on this board regarding Karen and her "physique". As someone who has done bodybuilding shows in the past, I fully understand the motivation and willpower it takes to achieve the level Karen has achieved in her conditioning. There is nothing easy, or even remotely healthy, about doing what is neccessary to get into the shape she is in in those pics.

With that being said, she is NOT on steroids. Not even CLOSE. Pictures make you look bigger, plain and simple. I would be willing to bet that, in those pictures, Karen weighs all of 125-130lbs at best. That is assuming she is average height for a female. Now, I have to ask, would you guys claim a 125lb female was a "steroid user" if you saw them in real life?? Believe me guys, she is not that big. She is extremely RIPPED, but is not that big.

Again, I am disgusted that she is being tormented and being called names for posting her picture. A picture she is proud of. I am proud of her for having the guts to not only DO a show, but to have the determination to do what is neccessary to come in in that type of condition. Believe me too, when I say that, I would BET she did NOT look that ripped the next day. When bodybuilders eat again and start to drink water after the show, they are not even close to as ripped looking. If you saw her in real life wearing regular clothes, you would probably just think she is a woman in good shape. I would be willing to bet anything on that.

I have to ask, "How can some of you make fun of her posting a picture of herself in a BIKINI, when some of you are afraid to come out from behind your "internet persona" and show yourselves. I have YET to see even a facial picture of MOST of you. Especially some of the ones that are tearing into her on a daily basis. So, what are you guys afraid of???

I have my pic on my profile. Don't tell me you are scared or worried that people will find you, and know who you are, etc. My face is there for all to see. Do I worry?? Nope. That's what my Fort Knox-like alarm system is for. Along with my nice little collection of guns and my "Old Faithful" .38 Police Issue in a holster on my bedside... I would guess you guys have the same...

So how can you make fun of someone else's pic when you have yet to post your own??? I have seen the numerous OTHER arguments you guys have been having and I have to say, if I can tell, what started it was a few guys calling her names in regards to her pictures. At least that is the way I remember it starting.....

Please correct me if I am wrong....

i flew coach - as i always do - to Monterey last year - which was part of my job - where those latest pictures that Mark posted were taken... i worked with Jordan, Mark and Wayne to find the cheapest hotel room in the area and we all slept in the same room to cut down on costs... i missed the FCA meet just to keep from spending more money... While i was out there, i drove Darth's 550 - which is those other pictures Mark posted... Also while i was out there, at Concorso Italiano, i sat in the orange Elise (which actually WAS pretty comfortable), which is where that other picture that Mark posted came from...

i know you're being supportive and just trying to help, but i really wish people would stop making assumptions about what i do with my money and what i would be better off doing with it... i'll buy a Ferrari when i have enough money that if something should happen to it, it won't effect me at all... When i have $1.3M that i could totally just throw away and never miss, THAT'S when i'll buy an Enzo...

But even deeper than that, i got to meet so many people on that trip... The friendships i made that week and the bonds i made with people i'd only before spoken to over the phone (Darth, Mark, etc.) are worth far more than a Ferrari...

We've all posted pics of ourselves at one point or another. I also don't have a problem with Karen posting her bodybuilding pics but they're obviously at least 10-15 years old and her persona still seems to revolve around days long since gone. The more she irritates members of the board the more we're apt to focus on it and spin it in various different ways-- If you put up a pic of yourself in a speedo and then proceeded to piss off nearly everyone on the board what would you expect?

 

Ha!!! You sound like me when I am going up to Road America for the BRIC!! I am already planning on SHARING a room up there with another couple to help defer costs!! Nice!!

But I wanted to add one more thing......I wasn't making any assumptions or trying to help you find something "better to do with your money" my friend. I was simply making a joke is all....... Sorry for the confusion. My bad...

 

I understand your point about Karen's weightlifting but the real animosity towards her stems from other stuff.

Matteo, Darth, Wayne, Judge4re, Carbon, Mike, FarmerDave, CMY, Tillman, Dr Stranglove, Whart, Amenasce, Dr Who to name a few people in this thread have all had their pictures posted several times.(I'm not saying they are necessarily involved with the Karen bashing) Now to continue on the subject of people's pics being posted..... here is my collection of FC'ers who have given me the finger.

I hear ya. Yeah, the pic is older. But you know what?? She still gets crap for her "hairstyle" and "dated look" when it is obvious it is a dated pic. I don't know, I just think that the personal attacks were the root of the problem. And like I said, I think this stuff got started when she got personal attacks on her "appearance". She has pissed off a few people by challenging IF they even HAVE Ferraris. And before this latest batch of posts, I had YET to see anyone back up if they do. I must give credit to Matteo for "putting up" with those pics though. He did in a BIG way.... Nice...

At least that is how it appears to an outsider. And I think Venus is getting the raw end of the deal here... But that is just my opinion based on my outsider's view...

I spent 11 years in university and racked up 3 degrees in some of the hardest subjects. Then I busted my ass off once I entered the corporate world. No money was given to me to acquire any of my cars. It was all earned income (after uncle Sam took his 32%).

Oh yeah.....

I have this pic on my desk of me when I was 22 doing the Mr. Wisconsin show. Just snapped this pic to show my point....

My point is that, I was 185lbs in this pic. By the way, I am 6'2"....

I started dieting for the show at 215lbs and weighed only 185 the day of the show. The next day I weighed 194 (when I got some water and food back in me). My point is that, some people would think I was on steroids in this pic (just like they do with Karen), but if you saw me in real life the day of the show (which was drug tested by the way) with regular clothes on, you would not have even thought I looked different from the average Joe....

My car, and old 78, have been posted here more then Carbon's picture at the post office so I would hardly say FINALLY.

I thought the apple pic was a nice touch though.

I will bet that she will be off the board for 2 weeks and then come back with a Sympaty post about something and she will not, for some reason, not be able to post her car.

And for some reason, she always boast about her talent to take pic's yet the only pic's of her are very old and the car is always suspect.

I "put up" for her challange, Hell, I even put up for Darth with her challange, I suspect she will duck mine.......again.
