Try to get a black one. They'll repaint the doors black, but we can fix that with a little spray can work. Bets on if you get a speeding ticket with the car.

It's one hundred and six miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack o' cigarrettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

I suspect it doesn't matter what color it is (aside from yellow), but if it's got the spotlights over the mirrors and a battering ram on the front, the "seas will part" as you cruise the 101...:)

Perhaps being under increased scrutiny from the force is a fair price to pay for some "at first glance" civility from the plebes. I would assume less road rage behavior when piloting one of these babies. I would be under a false impression, of course, but the latest Peter Egan Side Glances (in Road and Track) made me consider my fellow motorist in a different light....The common sins that one of my fave auto writers cites are: Obliviousness, Sloth, and Self-Righteosness. A common rant, really, but well written and humorous.

Not to mention that a Crown Vic would make a great SF car. Taking the Maserati into the city usually ends with a bent rim or a goiter in a sidewall.

If I get a cruiser, I will let you guys sit in the back seat and we will have Art pretend to post bail. Dan, would you like to make a reservation?
