    If the 7.62x51 is a man's bullet, then the 7.62x54R is Arnold's.

Whether guns are legal or illegal, the thugs are going to find a way to get them. (thanks Mexico), so we might as well even the playing field so the good guys have a fighting chance.

    Enzo,
Here's a pic of my AK-74. Just a semi-auto, just like most everything else you're seeing here. Not an evil machine gun like you may be assuming. I tried to make it look less scary by placing it next to my .50 BMG peashooter. There is also no good reason to have one of those. Unless you've shot one. Then you'll understand. :D

You know I give up on this thread. When 96impalaSS started this thread I was interested on the gun but then I got to thinking wasn't this kid in trouble with the law recently. And if you look back at this thread it does ring true http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8424&highlight=96impalass I went with my gut instinct with this and it came true. What does someone who has had problems with anger have a gun like this. "I just can have a bad temper sometimes if you say something to me. We'll just leave it at that. Im not proud of what I did at all." I'm not saying he shouldn't be able to "Bear arms" all I'm saying is that if he has had some problems in the past why would he be able to get a gun like that? I'm done with this. And please keep in mind I"M NOT AGAINST GUNS by anymeans.

Well, that sounds much more reasonable than your prior posts in this thread. If somone has anger management issues, guns MAY not be the best thing for them to collect. So I can appreciate your concern. I wish you would have expressed that was your issue, as it did not come across this way. ;)

My point was I was 18 when I started buying similar.

    No problems.

    I love my small collection.

Only want someone would confiscate my G3 is from my "cold dead fingers." I love that one especially, along with my real historic pieces.

That looks like a pretty cool gun. I bet you feel it for days after shooting something like that. I really do love the auto's. I always wanted to shoot a Thompson just to feel where and with what gun that auto's became popular(or really caught the eye of the public).

Actually 74's are like toys, almost no recoil at all. Even the bigger calibers don't have that much, since the feeding mechanism absorbs and damps out much of the felt recoil. Now the M1 Grand or the Tokareve SVT's are another story.

Nope the bullet is a tiny little thing, with ballistics such that it doesn't have the best penetration. It was designed from the onset as an anti-personal round, which it does very well with devastating effect.
