Z06 vs Gallardo - roll

No, the Gallardo got the jump, got the honk, was in 1st gear and had a tubi. The Z06 was bone stock and was in 2nd gear (at 40 mph)..

Gallardo got rocked.

 

we already know what a gallardo will do to a 355/360...so i think we better keep away from those corvettes!

Those new Vettes (Z06's) are bad ass............

wow, there was no debating the winner there. I really need to get out and drive one of those Z06s.

 

Yeah the new Z06 is really something. Definetely one hell of a car for the money.

Sat in one at the car show yesterday, much better then the previous one.

 

I'm surprised it was that close, actually. The Gallardo has probably 30 fewer horses (based on Z06 dyno results) and must weigh almost 400 lbs more.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is more about the total package than just a 40mph roll on...

I'm a Z06 owner. Dig the car yet I would still say its about a lot more than roll on performance. ie. Handling, braking and good looks just to name a few.

Same can be said for the Gallardo if not more so...

I absolutely SMOKED a Z06 in my blown/injected (415 HP) NSX. But it was one of the old Z06's though.

 

That’s kind of the thing here….there is a reason drag racing is so popular. It’s pretty easy to make a car, any car, accelerate well. My lowly 308 (supercharged) is faster than a Z06 (in side by side testing )…if by faster I only consider acceleration. I’m certain that on a track that would not be the case, even with the improvements I’ve made.

The Z06 is a very fast, capable car and worth every cent, a great value for the performance it delivers. But to me Ferraris and( I hate to admit) even lambos are really nice to drive, much nicer than the vette. There is more to life than just numbers. I frequently find that things I buy and love were not even close to consumer reports top picks. The Z06 is a great machine, but I’ll keep my old(ish) Ferrari.

 

Very True. If someone were to offer me a Z06 or a 360 Modena or even a 355, I would take either of the Ferrari's over the Z06. I love the Z06 and am looking into buying one soon, but I would not choose it over a F Car..

 

good point...actually a nitrous feed fast and furious ricer will blow the doors off all these cars...would you want to be seen in one or take out for country drive with a nice sunday...?????

 

Id take a Z06 over a 355 anyday. The 355 can be $10K cheaper and I would still take the new Z06 over it

 

The Zo6 is an amazing machine... I would much rather have a 355b though :shrug:
