The $15k car would have needed about $5k parts/labour spent on it to prepare for sale and have full legititmate roadworthy certificate. Once done, it would be better than many cars offered at $30k+ and if you watch the markets, you may see it or one like it appear at some stage. Asking prices mean nothing... NOTHING. It's worth what it sells for. There are GT/4's on the market asking $70k+. And they're worth it if someone pays it... but not to me. My Boxer is worth about $175k based on the one that Piccola sold recently, but I wouldn't pay that for one.
If I was going to sell either of my boxers, I would expect $140k. That's what they seem to be worth these days.
Ferrarifixer - if such a GT4 ever reappears please PM me! Not for me - the infection seems to be spreading amongst my friends!
If I've got the funds, I'd buy it myself!! You need to keep an eye out... they're out there, but you need to know what to look for to know what to pay... I wouldn't pay $10k for one if I knew it needed $20k spent on it. Mondial 8 and QV can be snapped up too. For the private guy, condition and history is everything unless you want to buried in it. For me, I just want a trackie, history doesn't matter.
Yeah, but people pay big money for Daytonas..... now THAT's like driving a bus. A well sorted Mond 3.0QV, Euro engine non cat, with sports exhaust, 16" wheels (not TRX 390"s)... would be a cheap import (~$40k or less) and would be faster than many AUS spec 308QV/328 which have slow engines and high prices... AND, you could take all your UNI chic mates down the pub in it... If I were "like" Roman... that'd be top of my post graduation shopping list... but he's brainy and loaded, so he can go straight for a 355C.......
Tippo doesn't know how to use this new fangled electronic aged mailing system, he's too old and silly Back soon sweetykinds
you cheeky old bugger GM !!! I'm back and going to look at a 308 QV soon....thought I'd stay in the say class (you and I have no class !!!) gotta make it fair on you old guys
it'll probably be red though I think they look extra mean in black ... have you seen this car ?? It is with Carl I think ..
Okay. never mind, different person. I was thinking of a Carl who was in the Classic Adelaide, and had a run in with a guardrail while driving a borrowed Monaro.
