    I'm sure most of us love our families dearly, but anyone else see get togethers as a sadistic form of torture? If not then YOU may be the guy that everyone dreads seeing....or you're just VERY lucky.

    I'm with you guys. Spent 5 hours in the car yesterday to drive to Michigan and back for dinner with the inlaws. Then today we go out to my sister's, which is only 20 minutes away. My family does normal stuff like watch football, eat and drink. The inlaws sit around (no TV!!!) and eat.

    Same here. Even better is the fact that the in-laws live 6500 miles away. Isn't life grand?:)

    Had to spend last years christmas holiday and new years with the cousins, in a holiday house in tasmania.. 2 weeks of torture, the only escape was taking the boat out.. but absolute torture, i avoid them when i can these days..
    in fact i was so bored that for the two weeks i was down in port aurthur/stewarts bay tasmania, i ended up with a $500 phone bill from talking to my friends....

    lets just say i dont plan on having a family renunion like that in awhile........
