Since MDShore348 is dying to get out before the salt hits the ground... GRC and I were discussing a final, end of season drive *next* Sunday morning (Dec 4, 2005). This will definitely be a "drive" with the emphasis on nice roads. We'll plan to drive about 90 mins or 60 miles, whichever comes first, and then break for an early lunch. Updates will come as they develop... LS
The drives or DK's G Love? The first happen between Baltimore and DC typically...can't help with the second. LS
That's probably a little too far for me to drive. I was just hoping it was somewhere north of Baltimore
I'm in! (Robbie, where you at?) Tony PS Darron, thanks for the shirt! PPS Hopefully, a brunch of good people will come down from Philly!
Holminator thanks again for coming last weekend nice meeting you and awesome ride! (Erik XLR) How far from Philly is this meet going to be? Erik
You should have come down for this: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69699&highlight=Mason+dixon
We'll start between DC and Balt and we'll end up north in Baltimore. It really won't be too far... I'm thinking Burtonsville, MD as of now for the starting point. LS
I'm in! Burtonsville sounds like a great spot to gather. You thinking hit tridelphia, marriottsville then heard out BC way?
Barcheta/Stuey, I've got a new route that I'm experimenting with...may incorporate some of the tried and true roads however. I'm putting together a nice route...I don't care for parades too much. I need to move to the Southwest huh? LS
Im here-just spent 23 hrs out of the last 36 at WalMart working security--going to bed>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Come on now EVERYBODY loves a parade! Cars overheating, those Buomi Temple dudes with their little fez caps riding their motorscooters around in circles, people throwing stuff at ya........... yeah.. good times.... I'm looking forward to some dif'rent roads though. Carry on!
GRC and I did a pre-drive yesterday, the roads are in good shape. We chose a route that has almost no salt or potholes and are fairly interesting. Let's meet at 0900hrs at Route 198 and Route 29 (Burtonsville, MD) next Sunday morning, Dec 4, 2005. We'll be at the Northwest corner, next to the Dunkin Donuts and CVS. Typically, there is a classic car gathering there every Sunday morning. There were quite a few cars there last week and I believe there were a few today. If this arrangement continues next Sunday, we'll have a nice group of cars to check out. If not, everyone will have to entertain themselves in the parking lot. We'll drive for 90 mins and then break for lunch. The location is TBD as we're still deciding what resto to hit afterwards. FYI, Ram's Head Tavern in Savage has some good microbrews and the wait staff was getting cuter and cuter yesterday. All cars (from that *POS* green Mustang to the Miata with the Ferrari shields) are invited to RSVP within the next ~two hours. This means that anyone from FChat...any car until 12am tonight. After that I'd like to reserve spaces for *EXOTICS* only. This is FERRARICHAT.com right? As MDSHORE348 put it so elegantly, "go to teckeast.com". HAHA! Please send RSVPs to [email protected] So far: Holminator-997 Spewey Barcheta-Silver/red 308GTS Thanks, LS
I can't wait to hit the Mulsanne straight in something other then a Century! Does that have anything to do with my glass of head?
