    Hello Fellow "F" chatters,

Can anyone help me with this:

I took off the trans pan of my 78 308 today, while being carful and removing it very slowly, I managed to disrupt the spring loaded ball bearings.

I don't know how the go back in, also was a 1/2" on drill rod, don't know?

Also, is the best way to get gasket off a pan to soak it in a sink with gasket remover?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thank you, Chris.

I found that the old gasket is best removed with a sharp razor blade and some patience. The picture posted handles the other question beautifully.
