I need to jack up my 360 spider to get a wheel polished. Where should I jack it up and where do I place the stand under the car while the wheel is sent off.

    Thanks in advance, Frank

Don't you have an OM? I haven't worked on a 360. Does it have a channel on outer frame rail just inside the wheels? If so, that would be the place to jack it, and then put a stand under the member below the shock tower so the suspension is compressed when you lower the jack just like if it was sitting on the wheel.

The undertray has a round (approx 5" diameter) cutout forward of the rear wheel on each side. It is several inches in from the side of the car. This is the rear jack point. It will lift the entire side of the car, though there is a forward jack point that is basically just the frame member right behind the front wheel. I have used both of the above.

Placement of the jack stand is a more complex issue in my opinion. A dealer has told me that you can place a jack stand under the rear wing as it is a structural member. I have not done this yet personally as I've not had the car long enough to do any real work myself except for changing tires.

BTW, the dealer also pointed me to a small (approx 1.5inch) "hole" in the undertray slightly forward of the rear wheel near the edge of the car. According to him, this is another rear jack point. I've not tried this personally and I'm not sure what kind of adapter is needed to go into the hole.
