Did any of the Testarossas have power steering...? Did they start making them with power steering in 1990...? If not, what about the 512 TR...? F512 M...? If they started with the Testarossa, that's the first V-12 production car to have power steering, right...? And the 355 is the first V-8...?

I know that my 1990 TR does not have it and I believe that none of the TR variants had power steering.

So maybe they started power steering with the 456...?

No TR's had it but the Queen Mother's did and might have been first V12.

Don't recall a prior prod car.

    Seriously dude.

Back in the day they made jokes about the C4 being a "Womans Car" because of it and only real men drove Daytona's.

Now they are saying the same silly crap about 355's.

You could specify manual steering on a Euro model 355. Good luck finding one. I would love to find a manual steering 355B. I have never heard of one forsale.

The first 12cyl 2-seat GT car with p.s., was the 550 Maranello.

FWIW I do not care for P.S. It takes away from the feel of the car, when the car is at hi speed. I understand the p.s. assist is reduced the faster you go.

So, are there 512 TR's with powersteering? Or is the whole Testarossa range without powersteering?

No flat 12's with Power steering anywhere.

Electric can be retro fitted, but cost prohibitive.

Right. So you have power steering on Ferrari V-8 from at least 1989.

Hi guys, I have been told of a good mod from a Dutch company for an easily added power steering solution for Testarossas. What is the the name of the company/product? It’s easily removed to in order to make the car original too. Thanks

I was interested for my 328 until I discovered you have to cut a square hole in the body to accommodate the unit - despite the fact that their ad says no modifications are necessary. Maybe not the case with the TR but check to be sure unless you are OK if cutting is necessary.

Yep! And a few power steering units were cannibalised from 365 GT4 2+2's and secreted into real men's Daytonas
