Question; 2001 456m GTA -- the gas pedal has a smooth surface is this right? Also, any input or wisdom for new owners will be appreciated. We've got a '72 Dino and these two cars are from different planets. (What was Enzo thinking to add six more cylinders and put the engine up front?) Zaanos and Athina
You got it wrong ... Enzo thought of the 456 first (or at least its predecessors), the Dino was the newby, avan garde, toy or whatever...little did we know then what we know now about mid-engined cars. I have the same model, and yup, smooth pedal after all the car is built for us OLD men. Its for touring in the grand style, Zurich today, Lyon tomorrow and perhaps Monte or St. Trop over the weekend and back to London on Monday. Relaxed trips at 160 k plus. Only thing is this thing drinks gas, I see around 8-10 mpg around town and 12 on the highway so my guess is that at 160, k or 100mph I would get 200 miles to the tank. So lots of stops on this grand tour. Great car all the same and looks less contrived than the 612, its successor. Enjoy it. I do.
