Hi guys. Thinking of getting a fruity exhaust for the car, has anyone got any opinions on whether to go "Capristo" or "Tubi" ? Heard alot about Tubis lately.... ;)

Bell systems seem to work well under 3x8s & AFAIK they are a good bit less expensive. Try searching the archives - there was a discussion about them a while ago - I've got one on my 328 (which was on it when I bought it) & I think someone else bought one recently.

You've heard my Tubi'd GT4. I'm not sure I'd do the same again and have even considered changing it. Have a look at Quicksilver's offering and certainly talk to me before you do anything rash!

The standard exhaust on my GT4 is really loud, not sure whether this is because it is quite old. I will need to replace it next year and was thinking of just putting another standard one on. Any one any idea of cost?

QuickSilver quoted just over £1000 inc VAT/del for their supersports system, which is considerably cheaper than the Tubi, but more expensive than some of the other more "standard" options.

Richard - now that I've forced myself to plough through some of the other threads with lots of traffic on recently I presume this question was a windup!!:)

What is going on here? Have a look at this thread -

Quicksilver quoted you £1000 all in??? On Quicksilvers website it says 308 exhausts for £480 ($840) under the News section. On one "offical" Quicksilver price list they are £800, then I read a French guy on Ferrarichat can get them for £925 ($1665) with maybe 40% off ??? Then the new Quicksilver price list they are upto £1300 ($2400). Their prices are a mess, that is the fifth different price in 12 months!!! They keep jacking the price up. I was very frustrated when I went to buy my 550 exhaust from Quicksilver to find there had been a huge price increase in just a few months.

on the subject of 3x8 exhausts these people do low priced systems

    http://www.scuderiasalesandspares.co.uk/

Ive used them for other stuff and found the service to be excellent, I am considering buying a system for my 328 but havent heard a car with one fitted yet.

    Anybody bought one?

My GT4 exhaust will need replacing soon and ideally I'd like to repalce it with another ANSA because they sound just great. However, at about a grand it seems a bit extravagant when you see stainless systems advertised at £495 by http://www.superformance.co.uk.

Anyone had any experience of this outfit?

I have only bought small items from Superformance but they have a very good and long running reputation. I have called them a couple of times with technical questions and they were extremely helpful.
I don't think you will go far wrong with them (an additional assurance is that they are based in Essex - the home of the good and true)
