Is your wife going to let you get the rest of the cars in that painting? A Chaparell would look good next to 002C...
Driving up the hill at Goodwood behind Jim Hall in one of those is not something I'll soon forget. 002C's rebuilt motor Image Unavailable, Please Login
That "old paint" shot is fantastic - am I seeing correctly just red with the white spot for numbers that predates the Maranello Concessionaires blue stripey bits? Very, very cool - gotta check this Vintage section more often.... Cheers Kevin
Yes that is the original paint but it always had Blue strips. Look at 0844 thread. Best http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84608&page=2
Looking at my print, ahead of 0846 is the second-placed Ferrari P4 (0858), then the GT MkII entered by Ford-France, then the Chapparral, then a red car with a chrome rear bumper which must be the 275GTB of Scuderia Filipinetti which came 11th being lapped, and J6 up front. Superb painting by Graham Turner; sadly the prints don't seem to be available any more. Paul M
After driving 0854 all summer I decided that I prefer the way the car drives with original size wheels and tires (P4/412P) rather than 0846's 350 Can Am sized wheels and tires. We recently found some original 412P/P4 sized wheels so I'm going to clean them up and mount them on 0846. (0854 has proper sized wheels.) Photo is of fronts. This is 0854 original door with original paint which we're going to save. We're going to match 0846 to this color as by definition it's correct. When we're done 0846 will look pre race and 0854 post race as we're not going to repaint 0854's original paint but save as much as we can.
