I just bought a set of Ferrari 348 TS 17" wheels and tires for my '87 3.2 Mondial Cab. Since that time, I've learned that there may be an offset difference on the rear wheels between the 348 tb and the ts. Consequently, since a search didn't provide the answers I need, can you tell me:

    (a)Is this true?
    (b) If so, how (if anything) will this affect my ability to put these wheels on my Mondial?
    (c) Will I need to utilize 348 ts-specific wheel bolts or are they the same as the tb's bolts?

    Many thanks.

There were different offset on the rear wheels for 348 Series Speciale. the were 2.5mm more offset on the rears only. This was for '93 year for both ts and tb. All other years were the same including '94 tb and ts as well as spiders. Bolts for tb and ts are the same again except for the rears on 348 SS tb and ts.

I don't know how that translates to a Mondial 3.2

The 348 has ABS, as does the 88 Mondial 3.2 and 328 (most of them anyway). My understanding is that the offset between the ABS and non-ABS cars is significant.

If you look at some pictures, you'll see that the ABS wheels are convex, whereas the non-ABS are concave.

I know some people have ABS type wheels on non-ABS cars, but they run large spacers. I am not sure of the cost effectiveness of this however.

    Hope this helps, Dave
