TR for $32K

SCAM.. My guess is a highjacked auction. Hit the buy it now and have some fun with them. Want to bet it's the send me $$ to cover shipping scam?

5 lug TRs do not sell for this, even in fantasyland...

I tried to put in my "watch it now" and it said it was an invalid auction, no longer available. Scam!

 

At that price he is making it to easy to know this one is a scam

 

Ive heard about hijacked auctions.. what exact is it? Just someone elses pictures? I tried to watch it too and it says not a valid auction.

 

This "auction" was listed a couple of days ago....but I reported it to ebay and they pulled it. If you go to the listing...look at the address bar, the address shown is NOT an ebay address. Any time a seller says free shipping in the U.S. you can be it's a scam. They want you to make a deposit upon winning the auction (you'll never see the money again) and then finish up business within 7 days. I will say this is one of the better written scams as far as description goes. But look at the fonts and layout of the listing and you'll see many differences from real ebay listings. THIS IS A SCAM !!

I have a '91 TR. You might be able to buy this car for 32K, but it probably was hit; needs engine work or other work or is just a rip in general. Guy in Texas was trying to sell me a '00 360 for 85K! Big scam, looks similar here.

Please read my previous post on this ebay listing....IT DEFINATELY IS A SCAM !! Note the address in the address bar, and then look at another ebay listing and you'll see a difference. Also look at the font size and lettering, and other details...it is NOT ebay. You are being re-directed when you click on the listing.

 

Ebay sent me an invoice and i emailed the seller to arrange time for us to meet up. I would like to come there with certified funds. Lets see what happens

If you hit the Buy It Now a page comes up asking for your information. (Address, name, email, etc.) This is not what happens when you hit a real Ebay "Buy It Now" page. Looks like a very sophisticated scam to me. More than just a hijacked listing.

 

i did fill out that page with my address (gave address for one of my rentals) email first and last names. GUYS im excited i bought a TR for 32K. LOL

 

Those photos were taken outside Ferrari of Los Gatos (CA). Notice the "listing" is from AZ?
I got a speeding ticket in Gilbert once, those are some bored cops.

 

ANY ONE KNOW THE HISTORY ON THIS CAR.. ???

That is a picture of a car at Silicon auto gallery formally Los Gatos Ferrari. scam!

 

It still shows it as being available with the buy it now. Jeff is right. You click on the Ebay site and in a blink it sends you to another website. If you hit the stop button quickly you will see the real ebay auction. Most times the car will not have a buy it now on the real ebay auction and they usually always have 0 feedback on the real ebay vs their 35 feedback or so on their website.
