I've been asked to estimate for the RH rear window lifting regulator R&R. I've not done one, and it looks a nightmare..Oil tank out? Mechanism from inside passenger compartment?.. it's all yeaughhhh.... any ideas anyone?
quite probably, and what a wonderful work of fiction they are to read.... I want real world experience as a guide if possible. I hear www.theferraricentre.co.uk are doing one right now... Alastair, hellooooooo?
I believe that there have been some threads on this in the past. A search might reveal some useful info. I recall one thread where it involved removing the rear wheel well and the cab mechanism. Did not look like fun.
Does it look like a different job than a 3.2? If it is the same (I think it is) I have not done one in a long time so I cannot tell you step by step but it all comes out the top. Figuring it out is the hard part.
They are a very bad joke, published for the sole purpose of keeping warranty cost's down. If you look at one compare times from repairs (paid at least initially by Ferrari) to service times (paid for from day one by the owner).
Take a look at this thread... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82315&highlight=mondial+window
Thanks and sorry for not searching, shame on me. Just didn't think. Sounds like a major headache, and a load of time and hassle.
?? Must be an American thing? I should come over one day and teach you all my twisted UK/Aussie humour.... so long as Rob doesn't think I'm goober....
if its anything like the 3.2 it will come out the top complete its a tight[very]squeeze [small amount of hand skin-lol].be carefull with grill as they like to take paint off when removed.when you get it out you'll see its a grease thing.have fun and not to much coffee. forza frank
